Construction of Calabash Studios began in August 2006 and is essentially completed — the dance floor is installed, the mirrors are up, and the inside is newly painted. All that needs to be done now is a little more paint on the outside walls, gutters, and landscaping, including a picnic table. The building was permitted. We built the studio to have a quality dance floor and mirrors for Middle Eastern Dance for Puna and for other classes that may fit into our quiet neighborhood.
